Spirit North Launches Cross-Country Skiing Excitement

With 50 pairs of skis and boots in tow for kids Grade 4-12, Spirit North brought enthusiasm as well as equipment and expertise to MANS in the height of winter and COVID stress this past January, courtesy of the Ptarmigan Foundation. Principal Mike Willing used his skidoo to create tracks all over the 10-acre school property. Teachers as well as students were pleased to welcome Spirit North again in November (photos below), and look forward to regularly using the equipment — reinforcing, it’s hoped, a life-long love of outdoor winter athletics.
